ANCONA CREATIVE

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 16th 2026

Who We Are and How to Contact Us

We are Ancona Creative (ABN: 96 390 727 991), a solo marketing and creative studio based in Victoria, Australia. We are committed to protecting your privacy and respecting your rights when you use this Site.

This Privacy Policy applies to the products and services we provide on our Site https://anconacreative.squarespace.com (“Site”) and our social media channels. It explains how we collect, hold, use, and disclose your data, and how we comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and — where applicable — the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This Privacy Policy forms part of our Website Terms and Conditions.

This Privacy Policy does not cover information you submit on other websites, even if we communicate with you on those platforms. For example, content you post on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or Threads is governed by the privacy policies of those platforms, not this Policy.

For privacy-related questions, you can contact us at: sg@anconacreative.com or via the contact form at https://anconacreative.squarespace.com/contact

Our Role and Responsibilities

As the provider of the products and services on this Site, we determine how and why your data is processed. We do not sell or rent your personal information to any third parties. We are committed to being transparent about what we collect and how we use it.

Your Responsibilities

Please read this Privacy Policy and our Website Terms and Conditions carefully. If you provide us with any data relating to a third party, you confirm that you have the right to authorise us to process that data on your behalf in accordance with this Policy.

When and How We Collect Data

From the moment you visit our Site, we may collect data. Sometimes you provide this data directly — by completing a form, sending an email, or making a purchase. In other cases, we collect data automatically. We may also collect data when you:

  • interact with us on social media;

  • accept cookies or other tracking technologies on any device you use to interact with us; or

  • voluntarily submit your data to us for any reason.

Types of Data We May Collect

  • Contact details (name, email address, postal address)

  • Financial information (payment details processed securely via Stripe when you become a client)

  • Data about the products or services you purchase or enquire about

  • Data that identifies you (IP address, browser type, time zone, browser plugins, geolocation, operating system)

  • Data on how you use our Site (page visits, links clicked, time on page, and other browsing behaviour)

  • Email engagement data (open rates, link clicks) collected via MailerLite

How and Why We Use Your Data

Under Australian privacy law, we may only use your data for specific purposes and where we have a lawful basis to do so. We use your data for the purposes it was collected and for related purposes, including:

  • to operate our Site and provide you with products, information, and services;

  • to process payments and manage client accounts;

  • to provide customer support;

  • to improve our Site and services;

  • to conduct market research and gather feedback;

  • to send you information about services, events, or opportunities that may be relevant to you; and

  • to send you marketing communications, with your consent.

We may disclose your data:

  • as required by law or to comply with our legal obligations;

  • with your consent;

  • within our business operations; and

  • to trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our Site and delivering our services (see Third Parties section below).

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our Site. Google Analytics collects data including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on our Site. This data is used to analyse traffic, improve the performance of our Site, and inform our content strategy.

Our use of Google Analytics may include display advertising and remarketing features. This means you may see Ancona Creative advertisements across the internet based on your previous visits to our Site. Google uses cookies and tracking technologies to serve these ads.

You can opt out of Google Analytics data collection by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can also manage your Google ad preferences at adssettings.google.com.

Meta (Facebook) Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel on our Site. This is a piece of code that allows us to measure the effectiveness of our content and advertising, understand how visitors use our Site, and — where we run paid advertising — serve more relevant ads to people who have previously visited our Site or interacted with our content.

The Meta Pixel may collect data including your IP address, browser information, and the pages you visit on our Site. This data is shared with Meta Platforms Inc. and is subject to Meta’s own Privacy Policy.

You can manage your ad preferences and opt out of interest-based advertising from Meta at facebook.com/adpreferences. For more information, see Meta’s Privacy Policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Email Marketing — MailerLite

We use MailerLite to manage our email list and send email communications, including our lead magnets, content sequences, and occasional newsletters. When you subscribe to any of our email offerings, your name and email address are stored securely in MailerLite.

MailerLite is based in the European Union and complies with GDPR. Your data stored in MailerLite is therefore subject to both Australian privacy law and applicable EU data protection standards.

We may use web beacons (tracking pixels) within our emails to monitor engagement such as open rates and link clicks. This helps us improve the relevance of our communications. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send you, or by contacting us directly.

Payment Security — Stripe

All payment processing on our Site is handled by Stripe. Stripe is a PCI DSS-compliant payment processor and is authorised to handle transactions with all major Australian banks.

  • Payments are fully automated with an immediate response.

  • Your complete credit card number is not visible to us at any time.

  • All transaction data is encrypted and stored within Stripe’s bank-grade secure data infrastructure.

  • Stripe does not hold your funds — all monies are transferred directly from your card to our merchant account.

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is an information security standard for all organisations that handle branded credit cards. Stripe’s compliance with PCI DSS helps ensure the secure handling of your payment information.

Note: If you pay via additional payment processor [e.g. PayPal], those payments are subject to that provider’s own security standards and privacy policy.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access. These measures include:

  • password-protected access to accounts and systems;

  • use of reputable third-party platforms with appropriate security protections (including Stripe, MailerLite, and Google); and

  • limiting access to personal information to those who need it.

While we take data security seriously, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmitted to or from our Site.

Where We Store Data

Our primary website and business operations are based in Australia. However, some of our third-party service providers — including MailerLite (EU) and Google (USA) — may store or process your data outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure those providers maintain appropriate data protection standards consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

How Long We Store Data

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including for legal, accounting, and reporting obligations. When we no longer need your data, we will securely delete it.

We may share your data with third parties in the following circumstances:

  • our suppliers and service providers acting on our behalf (including Stripe, MailerLite, Google, and Meta);

  • our professional and legal advisors;

  • law enforcement or other government authorities where required by law; and

  • where we have your consent, or are otherwise legally permitted to do so.

Age of Consent

By using this Site, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your State or Territory of residence. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising in connection with this Policy will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal obligations, or for other operational reasons. The “Effective Date” at the top of this page will always indicate when the Policy was last updated. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
